New York Butcher Shoppe SAVED THE DAY!! We had a gathering with extremely short notice. They were so gracious to make delicious party size dishes and make our luncheon happen. The beef stroganoff, mac and cheese, green beans, chicken parm and salads were all off the chain. If you don't feel like cooking, they have amazing pre made dinners ready for pick up. Their attitudes are always positive and wanting to help. They will forever have my business! Kelly Phillips

I have been trying for a few years to find an actual butcher shop. Drove to New York Butcher Shop with only a few minutes to spare after driving from West Ashley. The folks inside were very nice and helpful. I wasn't expecting to get regular grocery store pricing but did feel the cost was reasonable. This will not be the cheapest place you buy meat but it will be one of the best places you will buy meat. We bought one of the Australian Wagu ribeyes and a few of the prime ribeyes. The Australian was one of the best pieces of meat I have eaten. It was tender and had loads of flavor. I shared that steak with the folks in my house just so we could all try it and everyone felt the same. The prime steaks were no slouch either. Tender and tasty! The filets that I picked up were not bad, but they were not as well received as the ribeyes.

The service is so good and the selection is fabulous. I know sometimes people can be intimidated thinking they have to go drop a mint in a steak (and you can, trust me!) but the other proteins are also top notch and priced well and higher quality than what you'd get at your local super market. Chicken wings, chicken thighs, pork chops, etc. Further, they have refrigerated pre-made meals (the stroganoff - sliced filet on top - so damn good) as well as lasagna, pot roast, etc. Mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, etc. They also have a wonderful frozen selection with larger party trays or family trays of lasagnas and other baked dishes. So good for small gathering and delicious. There are frozen pastas, vegetables, as well as more obscure proteins (at least for Publix) like duck breast, boudin sausage, venison. They have a points system so you almost always save money/get cash off with every visit. Did I mention the wine selection? They also carry beer and fresh veg (asparagus, broccoli, mushrooms). Finally, they also have a small dry goods section for buns (get their burgers!), dried pasta, chips, sauces. Can't say enough about The Butcher and those who work there. Go enjoy!
